I can’t listen to Drumpf talk, he is awful to listen to for one, and then I know a lot of what he is saying is just not true. They could could fact check it live and he would say they were fake news and lie more. My son will be voting for the first time this November. He’s very excited about it, as he should be, and he planned on watching. I’ve been at symphony (taping a show with Asleep at the Wheel), but I told him I’ll not be watching when I get home. Nothing either of them say will change my mind, or anybody else’s . FWIW I don’t have a horse in this race... Trump did worse than I predicted, and Biden did better than I predicted.

Issue is the first few questions they more or less managed to answer sensibly (the odd time when it wasn’t a shit show) but as we got into it later they both started pussy footing around with non-answers or tangents to some 0f the more hardball and crucial questions.

Biden managed to avoid a hardcore gaffe but the man seriously reminds me of my late grandfather (may he rest in peace) in his later years who would always muddle words mid sentence . Credit due, Trump was trying to rial him up but he didn’t get flustered . He managed a few well versed statements but he just seems, old.

Trump was just stupid and he needs to muzzle himself no matter how much he disagrees with what’s being said when he doesn’t have the clock. He’s not dealing with the press anymore, it’s a debate. He needs to do his little one liner interjections and circle back when his time comes. This was simply too disrespectful to both moderator and opponent.

In the end Trump made it a circus like we all expected it to be. Biden at times got suckered into it but managed to stay out for the most part. If I’m honest, you the American people deserved a better debate, not just from Trumps antics and disruptions, but also from many of the answers both parties served up .

Try being a Democrat in Texas. After Ann Richards, it’s been pretty rough. A local headline, however, said that Trump and Biden were tied in TX going into the debate, so you never know. I’m seeing a TON of Biden signs around here. This is Austin, though.

Missouri has gone red by about the same margins the last decade, we did have a democratic governor that coincided with the Obama elections but with repubilcan supermajorities in both houses so they overturned his veto literally dozens of times a year . Hell the state also voted for Trump by a nearly 20 point margin.

There are multiple houses on my street with Confederate flags flying now so there aren’t any biden signs around . I put a hilary sign in my yard and my neighbors kept throwing trash in my yard.
