I always giggle that you seldom see many Tesla cars at the far-flung SuperChargers in West Texas, Kansas, Montana, New Mexico, Wyoming ... across the heartland it’s rare to see them get used for long-distance trips . OTOH, place a set of SuperChargers in a town full of idle wealth and the WHOLE TESLA COMMUNITY turns out on a Monday afternoon for a Spontaneous Salute to Conspicuous Consumption of FREE Electricity. ‘Murica!
These are all Santa Barbara locals. Apparently with a lot of free time on their hands— no masks, no respect for the handicapped parking spots and remarkably few front license plates. All just “guidelines”.
Normally I’d expect to see a bunch on Farmers Market Day, but it wasn’t Market Day. I have no idea why they had the SuperCharger packed.

I’m always amused by the amount of these perfect cars on the road here without a front plate (WA is a front plate state here, but I suspect there’s a socio-economic component to enforcement).

That’s some impressive build quality on the one closest in the picture.
Tesla engineers are amazing. Too bad they are such shitty builders.
