Is this your new choice in off road vehicle?

Certainly that kind of driving is one of the draws of a deuce.

Duck Tours in Austin has these kinds of tour busses. You also get a duck call whistle with it. Pretty cool.

I would like a DUKW that hasn’t been ruined. There are some in the MVPA, it would be great at Tahoe.

They are embarrassed surplus DUKW. I want one unmolested.

Numerous fatal accidents have occurred with duck tours, perhaps most notoriously in branson mo in 2018.

We took the duck tour of DC back in 2014 . It was really pretty cool. And yes, they gave us all a duck call. And my 8yo twins spent the next few days blowing those bloody things everywhere we went. We finally had to institute allowed duck calling periods, and confiscated them during non-duck calling periods.

Seattle had these, but the business went under.

And I’ll take one if I go back.

Yep, they were designed for a specific purpose, not tours! They don’t behave like a real boat, it’s just a floating truck for brief crossings and landings. Someplace like Tahoe would be ok, no waves or cross currents, I would put a couple long inflatable pontoons on the sides to prevent rolls in an ocean/bay setting.

Figuratively or literally?

There were several accidents, but I don't remember any of them literally sinking here. https://www.ridetheducksofseattle.com/
