Son’s 5th birthday party yesterday went pretty well. Pretty small because of c ovid but everybody had fun.

We’re going hiking today which I’ve been looking forward to and he seems pretty excited about.

Overall a busy but good weekend.

The open air vibes are the best. I always take driving with my windows down for granted since I live in CA, but the existence of seasons elsewhere must be tough sometimes.

I saw you’ve been looking at sports cars too; how’s that been going?

I attach “all things considered” to a lot of sentences these days  Have your classes improved? I saw earlier you’re under a bit of a time crunch for most of your sessions.

It would be so bad if the soft top were easier to put on or take off, but it’s time-consuming and, if cold, difficult and risky (can break the plastic windows). So, I’ll put soft doors on for a while so I can easily remove those on warmer days, and once warm days are a thing of the past I’ll put my hard doors on and be done with joy and happiness entirely.

(I wouldn’t mind winter so much if we got some good snows to play in the Jeep in, but those have been few and far between the last few years.)

I’ve given up on the idea of an S2000 or Miata (do those really count as “sports” cars?). I can barely justify having two vehicles as it is, so I want both of them to be capable Jeeps.

Yeah, I guess I do too.

Can’t say they’ve improved. It’s quite the tight rope we’re walking. It's nice to see the kids in person, but the grind is really tough.

It’ s been been better than most. Saw Black Panther AND Interstellar for the first time back to back. The former was on the big screen at the stadium (viewed from the field!) a nd the later we snuck into an unused classroom to use the projector.

Then I discovered Jon Bois's brilliant work but have had to intersperse it with actual boring stuff like schoolwork.

Yup, I get Tuesday and Wednesday off, then another 24h Thur sday, then all weekend off. My standard shifts are always Monday and Thursday, which is actually a pretty lean schedule, but I've been picking up some extras for the colleagues who are still isolated. Things get crazy every now and then, but comes a point in time when you've seen it all and then some and not much still phases you hahaha
