One of the guys who installed my (heating) stove fell off my roof in the process. Lucky for him he missed the neighbors pointy wrought iron fence.

My neighbor has a slate roof not a whole lot less steep than that photo, and much higher off the ground. Imagine my shock one day when I looked out my bedroom window and some dude was just clomping around up there, no harness, just acting like it’s nbd. Roofers are insane, I can’t even stand being on a ladder to clean my second story gutters.

I’m right there with you. I’ll clean gutters from a ladder, but roofs are no bueno me amigo

If the roof is steeper than about a 6/ 12 pitch, I’m out. My folks had a 4/12 pitch that I would climb up to the second story to clear the gutters. Easier than trying to do it from underneath on a ladder, but I still don’t care much for heights. This thing is pretty cool. Beats putting up roof jacks.
