opinion: should I paint the triangle over the garage in the dark grey, navy blue, or leave it light grey?
and should you be interested, here’s what it was before and after

Definitely don’t match the gray!
It’s good as is, but the darker color above is okay, too.
Looks nice!

Paint it shit brown

Leave it light grey. You don’t want to make the gara ge any more visually dominant than it alread y is.

I vote leave it light gray. Painting it the s ame color as the rest of the garage makes the garage dominate the front of the house. Even worse with the dark blue.
New paint scheme is an improvement over the old.

Leave it grey. the white stripe along the soffit separates the colors and looks strange all one color or darker.

I like the choice in the second pic. Keep it flashing back and forth like that. Can you imagine how it would mess with the kids’ heads on Halloween?

yeah, same issue in the top right, the white trim disappeared. I will be rectifying that for sure

I see where you're coming from, since the other gables are the same color as the wall underneath, but I think this one can be different. It's a standalone, rather than nested, and it's got that white trim separating it from the wall. I'd say leave it gray to reduce the visual mass of the garage. At least live with that for awhile, you can go back and do it over later if you find you don't like it.

I would leave it. You need visual continuity to the rest of the house.

Looks better. I like the dark blue triangle. Looks sharp, adds more color, ties in the shutters nicely.

Paint it purple

I’d leave it either gray or go dark blue. It looks better to me contrasted to rest of the garage front.

Grey since most everything above the gutters is grey.

What a difference some paint makes. I'll be sure to not show my wife. She hates the color of our house. I mean I dislike it too but we've already over our heads on home projects.
