So, it’s just a rebad ged LWB S-class? In this case literally just rebadged and all the same bodywork and trim?

I saw one when I went to the Roval race at Charlotte a couple years ago. Bruton Smith, the track owner, was in the back seat.

I also saw one the other day and have to say that is the most boring way to spend >$200k

My understanding is even more features, nicer finishes and more customization options inside.

Ouch.

Top of the line trim. My surprise is that so few were bought, and I ran into one. It’s the second Maybach I’ve ever seen. The first was an actual Maybach, not a Merc.

Agree completely.

I think that’s where they are supposed to be enjoyed.

Wow. Fancy you.

WWJD? Probably not that. These seem to me like a mildly cynical way to aim at the PRC market, sold here because something.

I don’t know. But, since the basic S is already certified in the US, might as well make it available in Mayback trim too.

Exactly. Huge margins, costs 75% more but I don’t think it offers 75% more. Much less differentiated than the prior Maybach, that while having W220 DNA, to me anyway looked worlds different (and to be fair, was much more expensive).

I looked into it from the window , and while it seemed posh, it didn’t strike me as worth the premium. It was special, but not that much more special.
