Euro model, probably originally an Italian export model car with those sidemarkers.  Hard to tell what model it is, but before 1970 with the high grille anyway.

I usually take the fintail on an errand run every time I drive it (pic at a strip mall the last time I drove it):

My guess by the color combo is a 250SE or 280SE (1966+), but it could be earlier.

Always amazing how small old cars look in comparison.

And even the big old cars are very low compared to modern ones. The roof  of my T-bird is level with the bottom of the windows on the average modern SUV.
