I’m curious, how many pronounce Majorca as ma’DG ’orca rather than ma’Y’orca.

That's the proper way, but many Brits will often say ma'DG'orca until they've gone on holiday there (it's a common British holiday location), then come back saying ma'Y'orca or been corrected by snickering family members.

keep hearing of people going there on holidays.
with so many tourists, it’d be a bit of a shithole, so my kind of location

The Balearic Islands are the Brits favourite holiday islands. Many locations are just Britain away from Britain in the sun. British shops, pubs, etc... a few Germans but they tend to stick around the hotel and pool or stay on the beach.

Went there off-season last year (in april if i recall correctly), it’s wasn’t crowded and it was mostly older
German tourists but i recon it might not be the same
during summertime
.
Went to Marbella two years ago in may, it was mainly Brit ons and less of a family-type of destination .
