Oh there are clean ones here, I’m just oddly attracted to a totally beat lifted  one. The 6.0 and 5 speed are the most appealing

If you want something loud and fun to beat on, sure. The front end will grenade somewhere without a toque convertor and that 6.0 pushing power through it if you start having too much fun.

I’ve been ready for a few months now to get rid of my 2005 1500 and 5th gens are on the top of my list.

As the resident GMT-800 Sierra owner here ... Whoa boy is that thing rough! Even if you look past the body’s issues, the work that has been done to it, is not good. The ad doesn’t even mention the non-operational AC. No, it doesn’t just need a recharge, because the condenser is missing. The panel between the top of the grill and the core support is missing too . Then there are the wires just hanging out from under the dash ... Do I see a household wire n ut on them?

I’m sad to see such a rare truck, in such a sorry state. Manual transmissions are rare enough on the 800's, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen one in an extended cab truck. Still, I wouldn’t touch this thing with a ten foot pole.
