That’s two big movies, moving into an entirely different series and driving a Honda instead of a Chevy.

Though it probably helps that Chip Ganassi currently runs a Chevy Nascar program and he was able to smooth things over with them in regards to Johnson driving a Honda in Indycar.

Vettel would chill at home before Indycar I bet. Maybe one off chances at the 500 at best, but he’s still worth too much in F1.

If Racing Point doesn’t pan out, personally I think he’s best to sit out 2021 with the carry-forward regs and aim for a 2022 seat. Maybe go try Le Mans or something.

I had really hoped he would work a deal for one more year in NASCAR due to the cluster of a year it’s become. I feel like this stunted season that’s been primarily run with empty or nearly empty stands just isn’t a proper send-off for one of the best to be in the series. I still remember all the fanfare when Terry Labonte ran his last race and wish Johnson had gotten a similar goodbye.

Goo d for him. I believe that I’m correct in saying that when he did his Indy car testing, he was pretty damn fast. I was always a fan (I tend to root for non-southerner NASCAR drivers) back in the day. Hopefully he can be competitive.

I don’t think he does either. If he had even hinted at the possibility I’m sure opportunities would’ve been thrown at him.

I think he’s looking forward to having the shorter season of Indy.

Never say never. I mean, Helio is running part time in both IndyCar and IMSA, I’m sure Jimmie could do the same.
