Hook up a microphone and you can talk out of your (car’s) ass

While the right exhaust will be used in the usual way for the gas engine – a 231 HP three-cylinder example, using BMW’s TwinPower Turbo system – the left will actually contain a speaker.
That will be used to put out a virtual external engine sound. However, it won’t be the only fake noise BMW provides: a pedestrian protection system from the front of the car will be activated in electric drive mode, and make “a howling type of noise” to warn those around the car that it’s nearby.

I want to hook up some Forza engine sounds. Old F1 V10 sounds on acceleration, WRC turbo flutter on deceleration.

I didn’t think you were serious for a second...
Oh Germany.

It’s also used for the signal light chime . BMW drivers never hear it though.

Humanity deserves the hell hole we have created for ourselves.
Speakers in an exhaust.
The. Fuck.

When the speaker faults the car throws a CEL and goes into limp mode.

This seems like something a Honda Civic owner would try to do.
