27?! Jesus, that’s cold. I hope you have a blanket.
Oh, wait, that’s in Loonies. So that would be about 81 in USD. Not too bad at all.

It’s been 101º here for the last two months, so I would love 81º.

My wife is from Austin, west lake precisely. Her fault keeps asking for us to move back there. For many reasons, temperature being one of them, a resounding no.

I have no hard data to back this up, but it’s been getting hotter.

It’d b e cheaper for us to live there. But the climate (in a couple senses of the word) and relative lack of outdoor activities would suck.

In all honesty, the weather is perfectly fine for 9-10 months out of the year. July-September are the hot months, but it really isn’t bad.
And there are PLENTY of outdoor activities in Austin! I’d say more than its fair share. Hiking, boating, jogging, sports, even most of the bars have outdoor/rooftop seating.

Temperature tolerance varies, it’s bad most of the year. The outdoor activities are fine for many, but once we were out in the pnw, they lacked. Severely. That’s our opinion at least. I spent many years in Texas, it's a good place to be from.
