One flatbed is not enough
We are building another ‘ shed’ . This one is to protect our forthcoming collection of fruit and nut trees from the various forms of herbivorous lifeforms that we share our property with.
Two dropside utility vehicles have been utilised for this project. A pickup would be useless to us.
Sticks and wire in a field
All in all, roughly 750 square metres will be protected under netting when we finish this. Perimeter fence (currently filling the VW) should go in tomorrow...
A lot of wire...my hands are tired as a result

And I was proud of myself when I fenced the tomato garden in.

One thing I’ve learned over the years is that shooting firearms from the tray of most dual cab vehicles is an exercise fraught with danger for the driver of said vehicle. That thing....is the veritable apex of that lesson!!!

Way to throw shade. Though yes dropsides are quite useful.
That is some seriously impressive work. How many people did it take to get those poles in the ground?

I don't understand why dropside flatbeds are not a thing in the US.

Myself and two contractors with their 3.5 tonne excavator (fitted with an auger attachment) and their 10 tonne truck and its 6 tonne capacity Hiab crane did all twelve posts and fourteen strainers in less than five hours.

They aren’t really a thing down here either until you get to a place (generally outside a city) where working vehicles are actually put to work.
