Normally I don’t like these front end swaps, but the Mustang front end works a lot better on the front of an S-Class than the actual S-Class front fascia.

At any rate, a Mustang sedan really makes too much sense to not happen at this point. Ford can neatly group their consumer offerings under 4 sub-brands - Ford Trucks (F-Series, Ranger, and new baby pickup), Ford Bronco (Bronco and Bronco Sport), Ford Mustang (coupe, sedan, convertible, and Mach E crossover ), and Ford SUVs (EcoSport, Escape, Edge, Explorer, Expedition) - plus the commercial vehicle line of Transit, Transit Connect, and E-Series chassis cab.
Would be funny, and not that terrible of an idea, to go back to its root s and call the sedan the Mustang Falcon.

*swoon* This is awesome.

But the Falcon wasn’t always a sedan; it was also a coupe and station wagon!

Okay so it doesn’t work the other way around.

I like this a lot better than the above.

But most consistently a sedan, in early years, both a 2-door and 4-door, later years, just the 4-door. Also, weirdly, Lee Iacocca considered a Mustang sedan in the '60s and had a full size clay model made of one in around 1965 or '66, but didn't go through with it because the coupes and convertibles were selling so well and Ford's production capacity was already strained.

And it doesn’t look like an Accord anymore. You fixed it

I didn’t. They did.

And the Corvair even was a van... and a pickup truck.

Nope, this is all wrong, Ford can’t make a sedan that actually has useable back seat legroom. Neither the Taurus or Fusion has useable legroom in the back seat.

I still think the original is also an upgrade, oddly. The fascia on the S class is just too heavy for the S class itself.
