Here are a few Lego steam lorries I built back in 2015, as a sequel to my Lego steam tractor post.
Also, it’s official, I’m in college now. And given how easily distracted I am and how precious little spare time I now have, I’ve decided that I probably can’t afford to spend much time on Oppositelock anymore. Well, at least not for about four years. Although I love this community, it’s more important that I have time to develop relationships with my fellow collegers/collegists/colanders and study and whatnot. I still might wander over here on weekends occasionally, but for the most part...

I understand why you’ll need to distance yourself from this community. It’s a bit of a time suck sometimes. Honestly, I need to spend less time on here. I’ve got about 3 major things I need to be spending time in studio on and I’ve not done nearly enough today. This is will be a busy weekend. People say you’ll have more free time in college but that obviously doesn’t apply to architecture majors.
Have you had your first class yet? I’m going into week 4 on campus and 3 in classes. I finally had an in person class! Except it was with two of my peers in a random classroom that happened to be open. Social distancing in studio has been very good so far.
Unfortunately the frats continue to be COVID hot spots. I don’t think I’ve yet seen someone in a frat yard wearing a mask but I’ve also only seen a few people outside not wearing them over the past month.
I’ll miss you around here but it’s the responsible thing to do. Something I may have to do too. You could always try to give yourself an Oppo half hour over lunch but I don’t know.

Good luck. A long time ago I entered university and was successful enough to get the paper at the end, but missed opportunities to learn things that might have interested me but weren't related to my engineering courseload. Soak it all in.

Oh yeah, I remember college... Took away all of my free time and I only managed to get back to Oppo after graduating, and also getting out of military service that came after graduation... That was 8 or 9 years total lol
