Stag. I often see it. Brave using a car that old in this damp climate but there you go.

No video of it in motion.

The Aldi parking lots I’m familiar with are usually populated by ‘ 90s Camrys and mid ‘ 00s Chrysler 300s with cloudy headlights and lots of body damage.

Not really, I took that picture from a 1.0 Focus with a tow bar. Yes, it’s used to haul a small trailer which it does perfectly well. The Stag is a 3 litre.

This isn't the US, they have different towing regulations over there, Stags have definitely done tow duty on more than one occasion

It just depends what you are towing. I once towed two boa
ts with a car that had a 1015cc air-cooled
engine. Some people fit tow bars just so they can mount a bicycle carrier.

The Stag is a 3 litre.
Originally. Lots of them had engine swaps. I believe the Rover 3.5 [the engine that it shoul
d have been fitted with when new]
was a popular swap at one time. I have seen one with some kind of American iron in there. The owner didn’t realize that it wasn’t original.

I don’t have a Stag, but I have always lusted after them. The nearest I got was driving a Triumph
2.5PI
at high speed
between two Lucas sites.
