While extremely fun, this doesn’t seem to be the best example. Also it’s the same size as my wife’s Clubman! It doesn’t fit both kids that well (5 and 3) and it has definitely been in an accident that wasn’t disclosed.

Also what’s the strange tube just hanging out by the intake? Overspray on many parts around the passenger front fender. Tabs broken on the plastic side skirts and broken glass fell out of the passenger mirror.

Also sometimes the transmission grips and gets it sometimes it seems to slip and it’s not turbo lag because the rpms rise without speed increase. Oh well on to the next one!

Accident damage poorly fixed would be a NOPE for me. Good thing you looked at it closely. Look at an Outback XT if you want a rear seat. Good amounts of rear seat room on the outback’s and the overall car size is still reasonable.

I think you’ll like the Macan turbo. If it isn’t quite large enough, then maybe even look at the Cayenne S (same engine if looking at pre-2019 iirc).

I keep going back and forth between the two. You may want to consider the SQ5 as well. JMO. I think VAG got the mod size and compact SUV’s just right with that platform.

Wish I found the current X3 more attractive because I would consider that with the silky B58 as well.

I had a ‘14 Cayenne GTS that was just a little bit to big to fit both in the garage once a 2nd child was needing to get in on the other side of the wife’s car. She is foster so that issue may no longer be an issue as a family member is going through the homestudy process to take custody of her. Macan seems like the right size.

I think an S5 Sportback is about the same size as the Macan that you were originally looking at but you know lowered . Whatever you look at next; good luck! The idea of car buying is exciting; the nitty gritty gets more nerve wracking.

Undisclosed damage really grinds my gears.

Looking back, even those panel gaps should be suspect. Normal for an Italian car, not so for a Benz. The front fascia appears poorly mounted.

Yes, as others have said, battery vent. When the battery was replaced, someone moved it out of the way and didn’t put it back. That’s just sloppy. Which means everything else they did was probably at least that sloppy.

Pull the battery cover off, there is a hole in the side to stick it in.

Again, thanks for all your help. They definitely are not doing the repairs willingly. They said only if I purchased it. They then pointed me to the new GLA which is “almost just as fast” I said I’ll research it but not going to buy from them in the future probably.

I had a rental outback in Oregon(imagine that) and it was a great vehicle. I feel it may be a little too slow for me and while they have one of the best cvt’s it’s still a cvt.

The front bumper is misaligned! The finger test on ever gap that had anything to do with the front or passenger side was suspect.

And it’s not one of those vehicle that you get in and it’s much bigger feeling on the inside. It feels every bit as small as it looks. Rear visibility is non existent. Sounds great and goes like a rocket though.

The XT has like 250 HP so it’s not slow. Their cvt is still a cvt but it’s not life draining like a Nissan.

Try a Kia Sportage SX. Not as fast, but cheaper and more reliable. Interior is super nice for the money too
