I love that color combo. I thought kinda seriously about doing a tan top on the MR2.

Sometimes it just works. This one does.

Tan tops just look terrible on some colors though. I’m glad the previous owner installed the roof incorrectly on my miata. Gives me an excuse to remove the damn tan top and put a black one on like it should be. Tan was fine when I had a blue one, but it doesn’t look right with silver. It was optioned from the factory with tan so it wasn’t just poor taste once but twice!

I had to dig quite hard to find a photo of the car with the roof up as I never put it up anyways, hence why I haven’t changed it even though it’s got some big holes in it.

Much better color combo on the other car though for sure!

It might be because I grew up in the 90s, but I love that color combo. I’ll own a Jeep again someday and I hope it looks something like this.

I had two in this color combo of green with tan, a YJ and a TJ. Also had a Mustang that was red with a tan top. Tan tops FTW.

That’s gorgeous. This one was for sale at an obscene price last year and I’m almost glad I couldn’t afford it, because I probably would have thrown caution to the wind.

I had the same body style on my ‘98, and I agree. Tan top, tan interior, only difference was mine was red. I really wanted green, but could not have it when they ran a 5 state search when I was buying. If I wanted a GT convertible with a manual , my choices were red or yellow. If I wanted automatic, I could have any color I wanted, but alas, 8 cylinder , convertible and a stick were my only need/wants .   Everything else was negotiable...

In 1999, I went looking for a new Mustang. I also wanted green, with tan and manual. I had a dealer search done too. They could only find automatics. I wanted to order, but was told the factory was shut down due to an explosion and fire damage . I bought a M iata instead.
