more accurately: “ If that’s a Prius, then a Camry is a NASCAR”

I think it actually uses more Prius parts than is immediately evident - apparently it’s a nearly stock battery and hybrid motor system?- but yeah, not a Prius.

It’s a still a hybrid, but the petrol engine is from the Lexus RC F GT3 and the electric system comes from a Toyota Crown (effectively a Lexus). Also, there are still pieces of the original body there, but of course the rest has been changed because race car.

And honestly, a Prius has a low enough aero coefficient that it does make sense to make a racecar out of it. Heck, the Prius GT300 used to be mid-engine. And it also fought a mid-engine Super Saiyan-ized CR-Z in the same class (and even more stunningly, the CR-Z was the champion of the two).

Known about it for as long as the Prius, but not as compelling because range. That said, a VQ petrol generator there will make it a compelling racer if run correctly and reliably.
