Recently found this i nfo g raphic on my machine. In a relatively short period of time m any things have changed , very few things remain the same.

It is pretty wild how Honda is, and I believe has always been its own company. And , excluding Acura since its doesn’t exist in most markets , all under one name.

ought nothing since.

If you went back to 2001, yo u could add Plymouth and Oldsmobile at least (I’m bitter about not having a dead brand for the oppo hunt despite finding a shop full of 60s and 70s Plymouths, which di ed one year too late to qualify)

Since the graphic,
Porsche almost took
over VW and ended up being taken over by VW. :-)x

I suppose on a brand basis that this was pretty much Peak Auto. Then it hit the fan in 2008......

I think a big part of that is how much they make outside of cars. Their motorcycles and power sports vehicles and lawn mowers and on and on.
