Realized after mixing the Primer that the pressure gauge port on the gun was missing so had to hold 60psi by hand. Otherwise the compressor would just be blowing its contents out of the port rather then though the gun.
I know this is perhaps too much filler
This first pass was about 1/3rd of the car and its excellent to see it turning into a uniform color. Imperfections are also much more visible so its obvious were to focus.
First time using a gun and it turns out to be really nice. After 1000 more hours of sanding and it’
ll be ready for its color!

Looking good, it’s on it’s way. What color is it going to be, I forget. I texted the pic to my Z restorer friend and he says looks good.

As close to factory white as we can get, but i think as long as its not brilliant white itll turn out.

Look up Datsun/Nissan 904 White, that’s the color of my car.

You should be able to get the factory color, I had no trouble with my orange. Mine is single stage like factory, I didn’t want a modern paint look.
There is Aug. 1975 and on 216 Polar White
and, All of production 904 White

I think the owner want to try and source some thing from a friend so it might end up being, - a shade - of white.

Nisan has a pearl white that they used on the Z32 that would be very striking look on a 280.

This will probably be done at around 180hrs of labor, if the paint is $400 a gallon(some number I saw online) that turns out to be a decent % of the total investment

My skills combined with a pearl sounds like a mistake
