I went to family hunt/fish camp in the middle of nowhere.
One day it rained, oh boy did it rain. A little hail too.
It was lots of overcast & rain. That made for great walleye fishing.
The cabin. 12ft wide, 30ft long. It’s the perfect home. Fully bear proof.
The most important office.
My Chariot for the week. a 2018 CamAm Outlander 570. It will do 110kph, it got a little sketchy.
It saw a little mud, but lots of rain does that.
Here is a crappy picture of a bald eagle, it killed a fish. Then it watched our boat.
It was a good week off. Ate lots of fresh fish, got stuck in mud holes a few times, shot off a few guns. Just another day in the middle of no where N orth O ntario.

I spent some of my summers growing up in Parry Sound. Really brings me back!

110kph sounds a lot sketchy.
Great pics.

That and it was on an old tight 1/2 maintained logging road with really deep ditches on both sides. I slowed to 90kph for the turns, but it was still skating around the corners.

Around 80kph the deep pot holes kinda go away. My cousin brought his son up so he had a 2up (7" longer wheel base) of the same model. It felt lots more stable at speed. Some corners you can stay flat & you brush the bushes by ditch leaving the corner. Kinda dumb considering any help is 3hrs away at a minimum.

I live that area you mentioned. This makes Parry Sound feel like Southern Ontario. It’s about 500kms past Parry Sound, then other 50kms -60kms down logging roads north of Cochrane. It’s way up there.

That cabin looks like it’s prepared to stand against a bear pocalypse and a bearnado

Well, a bear broke into it 10 years ago & made a big mess of it. The 1st version of bear proofing was plywood with nails sticking up through it on front door (& door step), and over the windows. It was not uncommon to see blood on it when we got there. About 5 years ago we upgraded 1/4" thick steel window shutters, & a 1" thick steel door. The door behind the heavy steel door still has the bite marks on the door handle from the bear getting in.
So yes, it’s very bear proof. It’s a little over kill, but it’s needed up there. The only damage to it this time was tree laying on roof from wind storm the blew though.
