The Alpines before the new A110 were using a fiberglass body over frame and there has been m any aftermarket body reproduction in at least fiberglass and polyester.

You can buy for example from Mecaparts polyester body parts :  http://www.mecaparts.com/Carrosserie/page.php?lang=0&sortie=html&col=A110&page=45

Just looking at some of the CG cars....gorgeous! I really want a CG 1200 S in this wheel/color combo now!!! Pity they are so rare and expensive :(
