Neat. M y uncle’s mother-in-law has a 1980 L-82 convertible. He had it at his house to do some engine work and he upgraded the cam to get it a little more power. I visited just after he had it buttoned up and we went for a test ride. I’m not a fan of convertibles, but that was definitely a fun ride.

...
it managed a standing quarter mile in 13 seconds.
So roughly equivalent to a 2008 Toyota Tundra.
How far we’ve come.

I love over-the-top C3 Corvettes... Here’s a Greenwood Turbo I saw at Lime Rock a few years ago

Haha, s o true. It’s only around a second fas ter than a modern Miata.
To be fair to the Tu rbo Vette though, a 13 sec quarter was on par or faster than the Ferraris of the time.

The only thing that would make this better is “official pace car” on the side.

That Greenwood is almost as horrific as the Corvette Summer movie car.
