I think looking back these type of cars will be the embodiment of the teens for  the automotive world. I love them, but their excess is undeniable.

Haven’t seen you around in a while. How’s life?

I’m at college waiting for my first class to start so a bit nervous but not too much.

Nice car too. That orange color is very striking in person.

I’m okay, this is finals week for my summer semester. Fall will be my last semester of undergrad which is cool. All my classes are online so I won’t have to be on campus at all this fall.

It’s a tricky time for classes but a lot of my professors have been understanding. I’m sure yours will be too. Don’t be afraid to reach out to them if you need help or get behind or anything. Keep an eye on yourself mentally too. If you need help get it. Your college probably has a counseling center. It’s a big transition on its own and there’s a lot going on right now on top of it.

Thank you. I’m through with the first day and I think I should be able to manage with only four classes. Though one is Diff Calc so that’s gonna be tough. Definitely need to balance school and play and keep an eye on my mental health. I’ve been to a few gatherings that made me feel uncomfortable at the lack of social distancing and mask wearing, so I’m trying to be careful about what sorts of events I’m attending. Still, I feel safer here in midtown Atlanta than I would if I were back at my private high school this year based on their reckless disregard for mask wearing.

Also, you are only just now finishing the summer semester? I finished that three weeks ago. Not sure if being off campus is good for you considering your living situation but it helps the old wallet, that’s for sure. I’m on campus but I only have one studio that is usually in person and one other that is only occasionally in person. You’ll get through this and be a better person for it.

Do what you feel comfortable with with the interactions. Yeah this is finals week and then my fall semester starts on September first and the last day of finals is December 22nd. Being off campus isn’t good for me because of my home situation but I can’t  afford to live on campus. I’m hoping to move out early in 2021 after I graduate and hopefully get a job.

I suppose paying for college makes it hard to afford even a cheap place somewhere else. My friend thought he wouldn’t be able to afford to live away from home, but he found a super cheap small house close by he shares with a couple. It’s run down but spacious ; better than you’d expect but not so nice that it is unaffordable . Of course not all cities are as affordable to live in so I don’t know how the renter’s market near you is.

I know it’s difficult that you have to put up with a difficult home situation a little longer, but at least you didn’t graduate while everything was locked down like some people did. It’ll be much easier to get a job in your field out of college a few months from now.
