Ok, yeah, I could see myself in one of those. Nice.

Btw, I regret to inform you that my friend with the Sambar probably won’t bring it to any of my meets. He does want to bring his van, an Autozam Scrum Turbo RZ Super Multi Roof.
Quoting him regarding the Sambar vs the van:
the engine is just so meh. The turbo in the van with a giant BOV is way more my style.

Oh, you don’t see many Internationals around, much less one that isn’t a Scout. Neat.

Exactly what I was thinking.

There’s a really nice green truck outside a place not far away that sells restoration parts for International vehicles. It and a red Travelall are owned by two of the guys that run the place.

I had to Google to see what that even was. I had an idea what it would look though be most of those vans have a similar look.
I can understand his reasoning though. From what I’ve read if I ever did get a kei vehicle it would need either a supercharger or turbo to be something I could live with.

I suppose someone has to specialize in them, but there's less money there. You'd obviously see more around so close to a place that makes ownership easier.

It helps that they’re located not far from the town where International (well Navistar) still has a factory and one of the places where some of the light duty line was built.

Yes, that definitely helps. Internationals are pretty scarce around here.
