Look, my horror story with the Macbook Air I used meant that I’ ve swing hard to the other side. Linus or not, I seriously want a laptop that’s sorta like those two. My Acer all-in-one won’t survive my workload, much less the workload of a high-schooler on top of mine.
Php66k for the 1TB version. Considering I don’t game that much (if at all) and I only ever want something that’ll let me render small 3D models in “it prints” quality, it’s not like I’m asking for much in a laptop.

I would personally go for the HP since it’s in a more premium class and the battery life is *so* much better. However, I’m a late 20s single person. Since you have a high schooler who is also going to use it I would for sure go for the cheaper one.

I bought two of the Acers for my kids and one of them uses it primarily for 3D rendering. They have stood up to their abuse so far and makes a decent little 1080p gaming rig.

Nope, I’m shopping for myself. The Acer AIO is meant for my younger brother full-time.

Sensible. But for Php20k more I reckon the Envy adds some more power to keep up with me. Plus the flip-up touch screen is 300 nits which is enough eye candy for me.

The Envy is 40 nits lighter.
(EDIT: why did I go for that angle?)

I must've missed the post, what happened with your MacBook air? I was looking at picking one up as a refurb model since the price is right and I just want it to replace the tablet that I have.
