I found the not an !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! for you. A mere $20,400 with an !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! W ho broke his back in numerous places riding one.
Apparently it does 60mph and has gobs of torque for those with good throttle control and the fitness to stay aboard. All I can see is bad things coming about with a saddle fitted instead of something resembling a moto seat. Find a workaround for that and it might just be more fun than should be legal.

“More fun than should be legal”. If you read the disclaimer at the bottom of their site, they tell you that this is true.
“
Note concerning the Road Traffic Act (RTA) / Road Traffic Licensing Regulations & Liability Exclusion.
“ We want to point out that the use of EB-01 isn´t allowed on UK public roads, because this electric bicycle exceeds the legal speed limit of 15.5mph and it has more than 250W of power for an electric bicycle allowed on UK public roads. It is only allowed to be used on private, closed areas, sporting activities or on designated routes.”

How is that not an electric motorcycle? Also that bottom bracket height is way too high.

Montana isn’t beholden to the Queen’s court.
Depending on what trail he took it up the Federal/State/County/rifle in the arms of a landowner might lay down the law on him.
The classification (if local enforcement even recognizes it) is in a grey area most places. Including the UK where they are allowed to sell it as one thing (bicycle) so long as the small print declares it as another (motorcycle) .

We know enough to be scared looking at it. Therein lies the difference between us and the type of person in the market for one.
I’d love to see what HFV has no HFV made of it. Might be the perfect daily bike for him. Two weeks and I bet his kid would already be competent at skitching.

Stealth bikes makes that kind of thing, they are basically motorcycles, but at least you can pedal them when you need to. Moped? They have banned electric bikes of all kinds on a lot of the trails around here.

I gave the right people locally a hard shove in that direction just over a handful of years ago. When they looked up and then forwards everyone got on the right page very quick . Now the b ike paths are full of rental electric scooters and bikes. See plenty of utility e-bike commuters on the roads and off street paths as well. Everything was well planned out and instituted long before they could develop into being a threat. Instead of electric crotch rockets you see duller stuff like the contraption below and nobody is bothered. The mtb’ing here sucks so bad and the trails are always so packed the offroad problem is even less worrisome (usually).

I’m literally where mountain biking was invented so they are very quick to protect certain areas like Mt. Tamalpais. The paved bike paths down on the flat areas are ok but there is a speed limit, that everyone ignores. I think the road cyclists cruise faster than the E bike limit to be honest. The ferry boat to SF is at the end of it so during commuter times we see lots of people getting over there.

Down here it would be considered as such.
The ridiculous BB height is just one of its problems...but certainly the most obvious.
