Also, I like the new seat design. They haven’t changed the seats at all since the MK5.

A series of lukewarm takes:
1) Thomas is the best car reviewer currently.
2) New GTI looks good except for the rolled-a-five-dice-shaped fog lights.
3) Goddam kids with their touchscreen electronic everything need to GTFO my lawn and out of my GTI.
4) Sounds like the engineers nailed it with the driving aspects.
5) I want to see the new R.

Regardless of temperature, these are takes I agree with whole whole heartedly. BYE screens.

Have plans to add the “sighs” from hitchhikers to our bathroom door to mess with my wife.

While it sounds like it’s great to drive, I can’t get over the cost-cutting and design regression. Frankly the outside looks a generation older than the Mk7 and the interior is a clear step back, due to those awful controls as well as lower-quality materials. One of the reasons I replaced my GTI prematurely was to get another Mk7 while they’re still available, and after watching this video I don’t have any regrets.
