It’s new puppy day!

This is Adelaide the 8 week old American Brittany, she’s going to be my new work from home buddy. I’m in the home office until at least January 4th. Current dog is almost 10 years old, seemed an opportune time for her to train her replacement.

Pup is currently sleeping  in my lap while I watch hockey. We’re going to get along great I expect.

Yeah she has green eyes. Wonder if that will stick around or if they'll turn normal doggy brown as she ages.

ESPN actually explained it pretty well . I was a little confused at first as well.

If you don’t want to read the whole thing, here’s the TL;DR..

For each conference, 12 teams make it into “postseason” play. Seeding is based on regular season point totals. Seeds 1-4 will play each other round-robin style, while seeds 5-12 will face off in a traditional best-of-5 series.

After that i s done, the actual Stanley Cup Playoffs begin in earnest. Seeding will be based on the results of the round-robin, followed by the best-of-5 rounds. So the top 4 seeds from each conference are still guaranteed a spot in the playoffs.

If there’s a tie in the round-robin, regular season point percentage is the tiebreaker.

Yeah the hawks are doing well now that they're healthy. It was technically a qualifying round though not a round robin. When the 1st round starts against vegas the format is the same as always. This week was the only weird one.

Yeah, we’re prepared. Other dog  is a mini Aussie. She was a serious runner. Actually still is in her old age, she needs long ass walks to get tired out. Fuzzy ball of excitement and energy that one.

Any house pet you can get to sleep in your lap is a keeper! Cats arent always so eager and suddenly they want to sleep next to you.....not on you. bah!. Puppies are cool.
