Whoever is in charge of this prank, they just intentionally caused a solder to be subjected to an artillery firing and he is not wearing hearing protection. Hearing loss ends military careers. If I were the OIC, I’d be issuing paper.

That shenanigan could very well have harmed that soldier. not that the soldier wouldn't have been dumb for sitting there sleeping without his ear plugs in, but whoever was in charge of that piece right there needs to be written up.

We’re nice, unless there’s a laugh to be had then we can become completely ruthless. The thing is we all mess with one another.

Story Time:

When I did basic I had a very good PO1 imitation and one spot on for the platoon head WO. So I’d dick about in the barracks occasionally making it seem like they were there. I t drove the other rooms up the wall because they couldn’t tell.

Now I seem like a complete dick in doing this. Ho wever, unknown to me was near the end was a party... With a talent show. Well guess who got the comedy act? Yes, yours truly. Everyone except 2 people in that room were in hysterics (myself and the WO) , and boy was I shitting bricks after because I knew I still had a week to go. Surprisingly he was actually a good sport and didn’t make my life a living hell.

You should see the personal videos from my buddy. He was stationed in Germany waiting to go to Iraq circa 2005. Testosterone fueled teenage boys with access to explosives waiting to go to war. Not a good combo.
