....
b
uuuuutt cheeks, it’s actually pretty
fucking incredible!
If you remember from Doug Demuro’s recent video on the F50, he mentioned that when you open the front clam and look at the driver’s side area, you’ll notice a product plate.
Seen below is a screenshot from that video showing David Lee’s car as number 186 out of 349
So, what’s so fancy bout da one parked 3 feet from my desk?
Is it number 001/349?
Is it 349/349?
Or is it possibly 069/420?
Oh my OPPO peeps, I wouldn’t do you like that. I only provide the raddest of shit for you always!
Check out what this plate says:
Oh yes my OPPO peeps
This F50 is fuckin THE FIRST F50 EVER MADE!
Classified as a prototype car technically, this was THE FIRST F50 final versions-ish made out of 3. Not a full wierd looking test mule with a bunch of odd multicar panels, but the first of 3 complete cars used for photos autoshows, drives and so on. This car was driven my Shumi at Fiorano, driven by various pros for various press and automotive media.
All just feet away from me typing this, enjoying a sausage/cheese k olache from Shipley’s donuts and a chocolate milk, yum!
Another fun fact about the F50, it was officially launched in the US just down the road over at Texas World Speedway. We have pic of it here in the office. This one was finished in Giallo Triplo Strato (triple stage yellow )
I appreciate your time. Thank you for reading and jizzing in your panties like me lol.

So....can I work there now?

So cool. I’m of the age where the F50 was truly a poster car. I was young enough to never realize the (less than generous) comparisons to the F40, but old enough to lust after one. Such an iconic shape, it is unmistakeable to anything else.

The F50 was one of my first ever model cars, and definitely my first Ferrari model. Gorgeous car, jealous of your view!

All I can say is "...HOLY SH*T!" The F50 has been and always will be my favorite of Ferrari's "supercars". It still looks incredible and makes the most amazing sounds.

The car you show seems to spend a lot of time on the market, and going to auction. The last shop to purchase it had been marketing it for nearly 2 years before sending it back to auction.
I saw an F50 at the Grand Prix of Denver back in 2003. A dealer had brought it to display and do laps during the lunch break. The exhaust sound at idle was so disappointing, very similar to a moped I would say. When the engine revved it was much more pleasing. The car did not make it out on the track for laps though. There was an electrical issued that caused it to shut down before exiting the paddock. I remem ber watching the te chs scr amble to try and resolve the issue. The seats came forward, and the panels behind were removed, as the crowd gathered around. The car was pushed back to the display area.

Whoa. I bet that’s the one that was in the article (probably Automobile, or Sports Car International) that I remember reading when it debuted.
Rad.

If you forgive the goofy front face, the F50 is actually one of the prettiest cars ever.
Interesting how this car has the US-spec reflectors.
The dish on those rear wheels is unforgettable.

That rad as heck!!!!
The F50 is my favorite Ferrari. I love the style, the wing, the profile, etc, etc, etc. But mostly, I love the F1 V12 that is hard mounted as part of the chassis and the fact it's connected to a gated shifter

I also spy with my little eye, a bit of parts sharing. Those damn cheap skate Italians
Taken one minute ago from my car haha

Super awesome!
Honestly though , I’ve never been super keen on the F50. It’s always seemed a little awkward looking to me. An F40 on the other hand, clean up on aisle me.

Hot take: I like the F50 more than the F40. Maybe that's because I had a model of the F50 as a kid.

Does that make your car 0.001% Ferrari? Cool.
![]() 08/01/2020 at 22:23 |

It’s a slightly higher percentage than that

Ha ha! That's unexpected and awesome. That looks like a gorgeous car and a fun ride.

I love the F1 V12
Fun fact about the F50: T here are just as many Ferrari F1 engine parts in the F50's engine as there were in the McLa ren Honda M P4.
