Im an industrial designer, I design exterior car panels and I love M3s. The E9x was a good looking M3, not as pretty as the E46, which in my opinion was the prettiest M3 of them all. To call the E9x m3 ugly is a fair opinion, everyone is entitled to one, but it is one that is not based in any knowledge of art, sculpture or design.

I think the E9x was the last great M3. Hydraulic steering, Glorious NA V8, modern comforts and a genuinely pretty design with just enough aggression to look menacing and not too many frivolous body lines and flaps. F8X and newer bmws look like anime characters with pointless lines and flaps that do nothing! This new one is just a monstrosity. I chose to move on to 911s at the right time! Lol!!

Don’t t hate on it, it makes you sound like someone who doesn’t know what they’re talking about. You want to sound well informed if you're going to be taken seriously as a car journalist.

It’s absolutely exquisite.  Perfect.  Maybe not the most gorgeous car ever built, in the model of an XKE, but just a lovely, complete expression of the designer’s intent.  From that perfectly sized twin kidney grille to the chrome on the styled tail...  balanced and beautiful.

I don’t have a problem with the E90 M3, nor the drivetrain or even the LCI E90. It’s the pre-LCI E90 that I have an issue with.
