If I’m not mistaken, this is the first time anyone’s been allowed to film for public consumption aboard an in-service nuclear submarine. Fascinating.
Their captain seems like a real chill guy too, hangs out with the enlisted folks to get to know them and their jobs better. Running a happy, tight-knit ship there, sir!

Looking forward to this episode.
Destin gets to do some really cool stuff. The episode leading up to him boarding the sub was interesting, as well .

*Politics rant with regards to video
It’s refreshing to watch a vessel being run in a way that citizens are currently demanding countries to be. Effective and understanding leadership is paramount for group cohesion and efficiency. You can tell that while the Capt. must answer to the higher command he also cares greatly for the crew and vessel, this is then reciprocated through all crew . Symbiosis is necessary on a submarine; every body in the racks has a reason to be there and be part of the team no matter what gender, race, ideology, knowledge, skill level, or where they fall in command .
It’s a shame we’re still battling this in countries due to a smorgasbord and continuation of feckless politicians with other interests at hand . Greater society should be functioning like this.
Thanks for posting.

Tyler Rogoway just did a nice piece on the laser gun things those subs have on board now too.
