Not those Bronco’s the good ones from Ford.
I’m going to write something about the Bronco but I’ m not sure where to go. My normal jam is to do the numbers thing but I feel like that’s already been done to death.
Trying to think of a fun new angle on it. Something like “which one is for you!” and compare the field from defender and GC to wrangler and 4runner. In a flow chart/quiz kind of way.
Maybe a little too cheesy. Any thoughts? What do you want to read about it? (assuming you aren’t burned out on it already)

I want to read about something very very specific and compare it across competitors. Maybe break over angle, maybe cigarette lighter placement. I just don't want an overview.

I was originally thinking along the lines of what David Tracey did but... He kinda did it

I must have missed that

I’d get one if I had the money . I’ve been obsessed with them since the age of 9. Though I want an old Fullsize more.

Let's get a comparison of tire stem size and air flow ratings.

I think it would be decent.

Whatever you do, expect your work to be stolen/uncredited by Doug or FP again.

I like the idea of a flow chart. “Would you rather be comfortable on the highway or have the freedom to lower your windshield?”

Pretty much, yeah.

Actually, if you expand the field to include classic vehicles, you could add a few more like the Jimn y and CJs , and different generations would have different attributes. They could be one hell of a flow chart.

The struggle to be excellent when excellence is so far from realistic weighs heavily on any response you might wish to be presented with
If not too painful, I’d like to revisit the existence of themes and theme days. Particularly the surreptitious fact virtually everyone under a certain age or constancy of mature behavior was shown the door over desire to engage in freely sharing ideas across a thread of creative input showing little relation to reporting of current events or the scourge of politics and other inflammatory topics. Topics highly ant ithetical to “Be excellent to each other” given official approval to fill place of the highest orders of excellence being exhibited.
Shenanigans, not to you, to the entire body listed as responsible for Oppo’s direction. Kindly stuff another post about a vehicle none of you have physically spent the amount of time with that should precede this extensive of variation on a theme... “reporting.”

yikes. No. There are already too many choices. 2 door or 4 door, base, black diamond, wildtrak, samsquanch, rubicon, mojave, TRD pro, TRD off-road, defender 2/4 door, etc, etc.

I like the big questions . Do you want a ragtop? Do you want to spend more or less than 1 0k a y ear on repairs?

I kept thinking it mainly a wrangler competitor. But it really steals the better features of the wrangler and 4Runner. People shit on the Morano and evolution convertibles, but aren’t they just more refined versions of a wrangler for those that want the top down. It is interesting as it could eat a significant chunk of wrangler/4Runner sales.

Bummer that the 2door doesn’t come with a soft top. That and removable doors are the things I miss most about my Wrangler. As the snow melted the top would come down and doors off. It would spend May-Oct with no doors, no side/rear panel, no carpet, and no back bench. For a while while I worked on them, it also had no fenders. Was pretty crazy looking. Managed no tickets for the week and a half.

No soft top on the 2-door? That’s disappointing. Had entirely missed that.

Any comparison of the Bronco, Defender, Wrongler and 4Runner against the statement of 'Which one is for you?' should also include a more mundane car, either a minivan, wagon or family sized crossover. Mostly because we rarely know what is actually good for us...

“ Morano and evolution”
The what now?

I’d just like to say that I feel Frinkiac messed up here. Surely that should be “aw” or “aww”, rather than “ah”.

Similar to your idea, but every time you take the “which off road SUV are you?” survery, you actually get a van as a result since they are more capable for the average consumer interested in the Bronco, Wrangler, and such.

Back in 2002, I went from a Def ender 2 door LWB to a AWD VW Transporter dual cab chassis. It has been everywhere around the country since then and I’m still driving it...and I have no idea what we might replace it with.
And yet it’s not an ‘ off road’ vehicle. However, this has only been an issue on two occasions in 18 years. I can live with that...
