Went well, until I got screwed.
Then this afternoon my sister called, and also had a flat.

That’s rough. Does a C5 come with a spare to drive on?

Ugh, fun stuff.

Nope. I noticed it was flat during lunch, so I just filled it up and hoped for the best. It made it home without losing air.

Awww, I’d come too if you lived closer! Though not sure you’d be able to keep up with the Accent anyway...yup...definitely that...

Yeah, Daender kept leaving me on the interstate.

Really dig the head-on view of that Corvette, very much like the RX7 with the l
ow
slung pop-up headlights look.

I feel like it was definitely heavily inspired by the FD.

Oh snap! I haven't seen Daender here in what seems like ages. Or at least a fortnight. Hope that dude is doing well. ^_^

He is doing well, though he comments in here fairly often still.

“The evolution of the C5 began as early as
1988
, when GM executives had originally planned a
1993
roll out of the fifth generation Corvette to help mark its 40th Anniversary. ... In May,
1989
, the C5’s unveiling was rescheduled for
1994
and was then pushed out to
1995
just three months later. Despite these delays, the design of a 21st century styled, fifth generation Corvette really began in earnest, and even the earliest design drawings alluded to a car that was unlike anything that came before it. However, by October,
1992
, it seemed that nobody within
General Motors
could accurately predict when the C5 Corvette would actually arrive.” -

Who knows how much the styling changed over those years, I suppose just the designers, but the C5 was in the design and production phase for a long time.

I’m still alive, thankfully, I just ghost Kinja-Oppo due to a frequent lack of off-work time!
