That was my thought. My wife and I traveled to Germany in 2000, and we rented a Focus (or Fo-kyuss as the agent said). It was.....fine. It had a gear shift which I enjoyed, and I cranked it up to 100 mph on the Autobahn once, but just once. It really didn’t want to go that fast, more from a handling standpoint. But it got us where we wanted to go.
