This one’s about $8000 in US money, and at Japan Auction Grade 3.5, i t’s probably not too much of a dog. They may be the cheapest possible way, in this part of the world, into a (more than occasionally running) V12.

What could possibly go wrong?

“ What could possibly go wrong”

It spirils out of control into a manual swap that cost $4k. In other words: Nothing

When I finish the house renovations and gave space in the shed.

I’ve been fantasizing about an XJS track car when I’m back to project cars again - one of these  is even sillier, and with some straight pipes probably sounds as good.

The bottom end of W140 S600s or E65 760s is about similar money, as are decent (that being a relative thing) S3 or XJ40 Jag XJ12s. You’d want to be a lot braver though, in all 3 cases. Decent condition W140s or E65s run about twice that.

Part of me thinks if I ever got crazy enough I could import one of these to the US when they hit eligibility in a few years. It could be the daily driver RHD companion to the Pajero.

I always checked them out when I lived in Japan, a nice driver at the Park Hyatt even popped the hood for me one time. I’d have to have a black one.

Now you’re talking. There’s good V12 precedent, too.

A Century is probably the only V12 full-size luxury car that I’d trust for that kind of money. Also, those wool seats are the stuff of dreams, unless you’re allergic. 10/10 would import.

ETA: I’ve only just remembered the car you’re referencing!

Still rather have it straight piped and spitting flame on the overrun though.
