![]() 07/10/2020 at 22:12 |

Tracy has a term for this kind of thing: rust-free :p

This whole thread is the holy grail

Premade repair plates you can get online. I t’s way above my skill set though, I won’t touch structural frame damage. It was very cheap.

Yes yes yes, rust and all, but...
The angle of that control arm is very problematic.

i knew it was a TJ when i saw the photo. I bought a 97 with a 2.5 in 2013 that basically had the same (lack of) frame. me and my brother pat c hed it.
then in 2014 i bought another 97 but this time a sahara 4.0, with 4 inch lift and 35 inchers.
frame on 4.0 was ok though.
the front fenders also like to rust away on TJs, that’s why so many have checker plate on the top of the fenders where the hood sits

Naw this is too nice a Tracy Jeep would need just a little engine replacement and 1/2 the wiring redone.

Knowing Jeeps, it was probably $15 k.
![]() 07/10/2020 at 23:28 |

Want me to send you some butter? Because that thing is toast.
![]() 07/11/2020 at 00:00 |

I hope the repair plates are one of these...

couple of 2x4s and some ratchet straps, good to go! get the pressure treated ones obviously...

I’m in the market for a TJ, and this is exactly the kind of thing I’m trying to avoid.

And he'll get it stuck in the mud in front of his house, partially dismantle it, scatter the pieces over his yard, and act surprised when neighbors complain.

Looks mint.
