Car was chillin in my driveway minding its own business and suffered a senseless assault. Some drunk last night decided the best way to dispose of his hennessy bottle was to smash it against my rear wheel. Messed up the finish in the center.
I’ m apparently not allowed to have nice things.

What the F is wrong with people? Some people just to want to watch the world burn.
Hope you get it fixed soon.

Well, it was Hennessey... Better than a plastic Nevermind. Hopefully they move to tequila and eat a worm.

That sucks.
Think it can be refurbed or would it need replacing?

Ugh, people.

Me too. I suggest we eliminate them.

Not sure what the fix is. Paint is scraped off on the center ring.

Buffalo, NY... But it has been as hot as florida lately. And heat seems to make people act like trash.

Not really sure what the fix is. There's some paint scraped off on the center ring where the bottle struck. So it would just need to be refinished, if that's a thing people do.

That truly sucks, try cleaning it up and taking some mild polishing compound to it. It won't make deep scratches go away, but it often takes the rough edges off them. Then decide if you can live with it.

Definitely looks like it could be refurbed —pretty sure I’ve had worse fixed.

What the hell? What a random act of vandalism.

Maybe I’ll see what Audi has to say. I’ll be at the shop soon. Waiting on parts to be delivered so they can do warranty work on the exhaust (sport mode loud flap broke).
I cleaned it off and it looks like one big chip on the outer ring of the center from the impact and then some little chips in the center dish where it was blasted with shards.

Yeah, and I’m getting a garage built soon which would prevent such random drunkenness . But not soon enough (thanks covid).

I found the perp

Don’t worry. As you park elsewhere, your car is meant to be everyone's door stopper and buckle rubber.

That's why it wears a full body PPF.

This is why cars should just be loud or not loud. Those butterfly valves are nothing but trouble (why yes I had one get stuck on my SQ5 once ). My fast car is loud and my slow car is quiet (uh, - ish) and my truck sounds like a truck and all is as it should be.

Yeah, I would prefer it just be loud all the time. The button seems like such a pointless complexity. It seems a very German thing to do. An engineered solution to a non-problem.
Glad I’m still under warranty for another year+. And the original owner was nice enough to buy an Audi care policy so I get to pay $0 in upkeep on a German sports car until summer 2022.
Until some shit messed up my wheel that is.
