My brother had two, one with a broken  SMT. I was going to take it but bought a motorcycle instead before I knew about 2GR swaps. Would’ve been a good contender for a 2GR/manual heart.

The SMT was such a bizarre decision. Could have used the trusty, but sad, 4-speed auto from the Corolla/Vibe/Matrix which all have the same engine on the base trims.

I hate to add some negativity, but I would be concerned that they didn’t include any photos with the top up. This is from a dealer and they are being very careful what they show. The roof is now 18 years old and it may not have aged well.

It’s a shame the colourful ones are less common. I went to look at a yellow one but it was a well polished turd so ended up settling for silver.

I don’t trust dealerships. Just the fact that they capitalized the “t” in “Top” makes me wonder if they are using the word in a way that lets them claim that they don’t mean the retractable soft-top, but some other “Top”. Maybe the put a brand new children’s spinning toy in the center console. Their own site says it has 4 doors, so I wouldn’t trust them on anything they say.
