It’s riddled with ads, slow, and full of bogus listings. I tried searching for Tesla, and the first 10-15 lists are clearly scams/bogus. I go to report them, and their “
report a listing” thing is broken.
No wonder I rarely go there. Autotempest seems to do a much better job (and they actually listen to feedback! I asked for a “fuel type” filter so I could search just for EVs, and they eventually added it. I know I’m probably not the only one that requested it, but it was nice to see that they did add it).

I’ve seen lots of scams there, but I guess it really depends on the vehicle. Good luck trying to buy something rare like a Land Cruiser. There don’t seem to be a lot of scams for Kia Sedona minivans in the $20,000 range, however.
I haven’t used the “report a listing” feature in a long time, but it worked before. I’m sure they have another contact option to allow you to report the faulty feature.
I’ve never used Autotempest, I’ll check it out. Hopefully they have listings in Quebec.

Update: Autotempest returns 0 results for my postal code. Zip. Zilch. Rien. Nothing.

Doesn’t autotempest just scrape from other sites?

I’ve never had too much of a problem except for the dealer spam, where they don’t list, use manufacture photos and inventory flood (especially pre order, pre arrival). I don’t actually mind it if they take the time to actually snap all the same but different vehicles.
Things like this [not muh code]
:
At least Holeshot took 4 sets of photos and the bikes are kitted different.

It does, but at least it makes things accessible.

I once saw a listing on Autotrader.ca for a Toyota Matrix that used pictures of three different cars, and one of the interior pictures clearly had a watermark on it for a dealership in Bellevue, Washington. In Alberta.
Kijiji isn’t great but even they seem to be better at filtering out obvious scams than Autotrader. Goodness knows why anyone even bothers with AT at this point.
