When I was in undergrad, I was in a music history class that had some masters students in it, and they had to give a separate presentation to the class. One of the students gave a talk about aleatoric music , specifically about John Cage’s famous work, 4'33" (Four Minutes, Thirty-three Seconds). She went on and and on about aleatoric music then said, “Of course, one of the most famous works of this genre is John Cage’s Four Feet, Thirty-three Inches.”
