Tenant abandoned unit, guess the car!

A friend of mine had a tenant abandon the unit he was leasing and left behind a stripped chassis. My guess is a second Gen Impreza/WRX/STI but I’m still not entirely sure. Any of you guys able to identify it?

Definitely second-gen but I dunno if it’s possible to get more specific than that - I don’t think the various refreshes of that gen changed the frame at all but I’m not a Subie expert

That yellow was only offered on the bugeye so that makes it an 02/03 WRX.

That thing is VERY thoroughly stripped. I wonder if it was used for a parts car, or if the tenant was making it into a racecar or something.

Im sure that’ s going to be a joy to deal with, since I doubt a Title is present

I asked my friend for a photo of the VIN plate to get more detail but he won’t be able to get one until he goes back to the unit on Monday.

If not stolen and it was legally forfeited per lease terms, sell the wheels on marketplace and list the chassis and free, no title. It’ll be gone within the day.

I, uh, may have done that with a Jetta.
