pic of my current fleet from oil changes - crosstrek is 2016 in Hyper Blue, WRX is 2018 “base”, manual with the “loud package”- full Kicker upgrade including the sub in the trunk and the STI catback and nothing else. Taking donations for my first head gasket replacements . And for folks with a good eye, yes, my neighbor Steve has a cool  ex army medic jeep truckster thing far right in the background.

I guess single quarts were on sale? I really like running Rotella T6 in my Subaru and that comes in the stranger 4 quart size. I just buy two of them and that gets me through an oil change cycle with regular oil use.

you are exactly correct - when NAPA puts their full synth on sale it’s almost always cheaper to buy the individual quarts for some reason...
