As Bruce dickenson and others proved, an operatic pitch reaches farther. Cookie monster vocals work but raising that pitch into what sounds like tearing leather makes lyrics easier to follow. I'd hate to hear her talking voice in twenty years.

eh....i think she will be okay
ive sounded like tearing leather for years now....and im actually starting to find more of a singing voice
