New turbo installed. All connectors cleaned and protectant sprayed. 14v 14psi reading. But now my ABS light is on - Edit* Turns out this is a fairly common thing and some driving around will fix it. Something about voltage irregularities. OR I was having issues the entire time and the ABS just didn’t have the juice to tell me. This would explain why my dash cam wouldn’t charge either.

Old dookie turbo. Barely put out 12v 12psi. My google-fu says it’s a Napa Premium Plus motorcraft rebuild.

Mine is going on 6+ months :(

Broke a bracket replacing what I thought was a bad alternator turbo ...had a hell of a time finding a replacement bracket since it was no longer manufactured...got the new alternator turbo installed and still had a charging issue...I just haven’t made any time to dig into the wiring plumbing yet to find the leak

Nice! I love how easy replacing an alternator used to be. I had to replace one on my wife’s Flex a couple years ago and it took me a day and required removal of the cooling fans, airbox and intake tubing and a bunch of other stuff.

My truck was stalling out a few weeks ago and despite the lack of codes, I was assuming it was going to be another bad coil, which isn’t uncommon over 200k miles. However, the reality was my throttle body was sludgy mess. So I popped it off, scrubbed it for a good 20-30 minutes, and popped it back on. Truck has never run better.
