I did end up replacing the clutch cable. And the brakes, lines, master cylinders, clip-ons, grips, bought and swapped in a new engine, re-did the entire fuel system, pulled the wiring harness and repaired it, throttle cables, charging system, battery, lights, intake boots, kickstand and rear brake switches, chain guard, rear fender, rear seat cover, exhaust manifold, and I’m going to rebuild the forks once the headlift stand I ordered arrives.
I still need new fairings though.
Also, if you were to ask me which of my bikes I liked better between this and the immaculate condition one with rare parts and half the miles, I’d have a hard time not choosing this piece of shit.

Worthwhile internal discussion there. Sorta like people who buy massive houses with a guest cottage nearer the lake/ocean/woods and end up living in the cottage.

I think it's just because of the amount of time I've put into it, even though the other is nicer I don't have the same kind of bond

We don’t always appreciate what we need over what we think we should want.
