Out came some amber colored (probably) DOT 3 in went the Red Line RL600 DOT 4, because sometimes stopping is important, sometimes.

Since you mentioned the amber color of the old fluid, may I ask what color the new stuff is? I kinda hope the answer’s red (hence the name), but I seem to recall reading something about the US putting the kibosh on brake fluids that weren’t clear/ amber .
